Brief
Bea redefines the concept of a bench. The side tables are inset into the main body, sliding in and out as needed. They can also be removed entirely and used alongside the bench, or with other items in the room.
Process
Pulled from the original presentation deck — inspiration, ideation, and the feature breakdown that drove the final piece.
Inspiration board: precedent and reference.
Developmental sketches: side-table modules slotting into the body.
Final design: ash wood (shou sugi ban), black powder-coated steel, shadow-line detail.
Side-table juncture: where the inset module meets the body.
